The Puget Sound Nearshore project is a cooperative effort among government organizations, tribes, industries, and environmental organizations to preserve and restore the health of the Sound's nearshore environment. The Nearshore Science Team has been formed to provide broad scientific guidance to the activities involved in study and planning for nearshore restoration. The ultimate goal of the science team will be to assure that The Nearshore Study adds to and supports, rather than duplicates or competes with ongoing studies and projects, and to develop new products that will benefit the overall study.
