The perspective on the screen originates from a fixed position above a computer generated map of Big Beef Creek. From this position you can look up or down and turn left or right by clicking, holding and dragging your mouse on the map.

The different colored boxes on the map are icons that “contain” various kinds of scientific data related to Big Beef Creek. For example, the white boxes with a Q on their sides contain QuickTime movies and panoramas of Big Beef Creek locations. In the actual BBC Exploration, clicking on one the boxes would start the movie or panorama in a new browser window.

This QuickTime cubic panorama demonstrates the Big Beef Creek Exploration interface. However, it does not demonstrate the many navigational, interactive and collaborative features that will be available. For a more detailed description of these features, see the About BBC Exploration Page.
